About Janet

Janet Garner has spent more than thirty years learning what home care actually takes

She started as a certified nursing assistant long before J N J Home Healthcare existed. The company she built with that experience opened in April 2025, and she still answers the phone herself.

The person behind the phone number

Thirty years as a CNA. A year and a half as an owner.

Janet Garner has worked as a certified nursing assistant for more than thirty years, in the kind of hands-on caregiving that does not show up on a resume as a job title so much as a way of doing the work. J N J Home Healthcare is what she built once she decided to run that care on her own terms.

The company itself is much younger. It opened its doors in April 2025, and Community Impact checked in on it at the one-year mark this spring. Do not confuse the two ages: Janet's experience is decades deep, the business she runs is not, and both facts are true at once.

She still takes the first call. Every family meets Janet before they meet a caregiver, and the plan gets built around whatever she hears in that conversation, not a script.

The team has over 30 years of experience as certified nursing assistants, and offers compassionate and dependable in-home care to help individuals maintain their independence and comfort in familiar surroundings.

What she asks every caregiver to carry into the house

Four things J N J promises before the first visit

Care with dignity

Privacy, respect and kindness in the routines that matter most, from the first shower of the day to the last cup of tea.

Care with consistency
The same dependable support on the same days, so the house settles into a rhythm instead of starting over every visit.
Care with compassion
Patience, because this is personal. Janet has spent thirty years learning that the hard part is rarely the task itself.
Care with communication
Families can ring, ask questions and hear how the week went, and the plan changes when the need changes.

Why there is no office to visit

The work happens in your house, not ours

J N J has no storefront, no waiting room and no lobby, because none of the care it provides happens in one. Every visit is in the client's own home in Galveston, Harris and Brazoria counties, which is also why the business lists a city and a phone number rather than a street address. There is nowhere for you to drop by. Instead, Janet drops by you, and the first visit to talk it through costs nothing.

The phone is answered 24/7, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Talk to Janet, not a call center

Tell her who needs help and what the week looks like. She will tell you honestly whether J N J is the right fit, and the meet and greet is free either way.
