Care we provide

In-Home Care

Dependable non-medical support that helps someone stay comfortable, respected and cared for in their own house.

Chapter 01

The week nobody planned for

It is rarely a diagnosis that starts this. More often it is a fall nobody witnessed, a discharge letter from the hospital with a follow-up date and no plan for the days before it, or a daughter three hours away who calls on a Tuesday and hears something in her mother's voice that was not there last month.

By the time a family calls J N J, someone has usually already been managing alone for longer than they meant to. The question is rarely whether help is needed. It is how much, how often, and who is going to be the one showing up.

What a visit actually covers

Companionship and real conversation. Meal reminders and light meal support so the day has a proper lunch in it. Help with the parts of the daily routine that have gotten harder, mobility and transfer support where it is appropriate, and light housekeeping so the house stays a place someone wants to be in.

It also means comfort checks through the visit, and an update to the family afterward when one is asked for. None of this is a checklist rushed through. It is the same caregiver, learning the same house, on the same days each week.

Chapter 03

Where our work stops and the clinicians start

This is non-medical care, stated plainly and without apology. Caregivers do not administer medication beyond a reminder, do not perform clinical procedures, and do not make medical decisions. Doctors, nurses and any hospice team involved keep the medical side entirely.

What that leaves is everything else, which turns out to be most of what actually determines whether someone stays safe and steady at home: the meals, the routine, the company, and a second set of eyes in the house.

Hours that match the need

Visits are booked in blocks of four, six, eight, ten or twelve hours, or around the clock when that is what the situation calls for. A family choosing twice a week looks very different from a family that needs someone there every morning, and both are normal.

The free meet and greet is where this gets worked out. Janet comes to the house, hears what the week actually looks like, and says honestly which block of hours covers it.
