Care we provide

Respite Care

Short-term cover so the family caregiver can rest, travel or work while their person stays supported at home.

Chapter 01

The family caregiver is the one who burns out

It is almost never the person receiving care who calls first. It is a spouse who has not had a full night's sleep in months, or a daughter who has been doing this alone since her father's fall and has quietly stopped scheduling anything for herself, including a doctor's appointment.

That is the actual failure mode respite care exists for. Not an emergency, just a slow, ordinary exhaustion that nobody else in the house can see building.

Cover that fits the gap

A short visit while you run errands. A full day. An overnight so you can actually sleep somewhere other than a chair by the bed. A longer stretch while the family travels, works, or simply rests for a week.

There is no minimum version of this that has to look like the others. The gap tells us the schedule, not the other way around.

Chapter 03

What we keep running while you are away

Companionship and supervision continue exactly as they would if you were still there. Meal and hydration reminders keep the day on its normal rhythm, personal care support happens as needed, and light housekeeping means the house does not slide backward while you are gone.

The goal is that nothing about the routine feels different to the person being cared for, even though the person doing the caring has changed for a while.

Coming back to a house that is still in order

Family caregivers get an update when they walk back in, not a pile of things they now have to sort out. What happened, what to know, what to watch for next.

Handing care back over should take five minutes of conversation, not the rest of your evening. That is the actual measure of whether the respite did its job.
